The range of anger can be enormous. It may manifest itself as something that annoys us; but we learn how to deal with it and control it. On the extreme side, it can lead to rage and aggression. Anger is a natural and normal response when we feel threatened, either physically or emotionally, or upset at what we perceive as negative behavior by others. It becomes damaging when anger is expressed in uncontrollable aggressive or violent behavior. When anger is expressed in a manner that is out of proportion to the situation at hand, it is advisable to adapt specific anger management techniques.
